We could also play off of the concept of the Guess Who’s song “(Don’t Give Me No) Hand Me Down World” , which might play well with the heavy metal/ alternative types.

I like Jamesr’s approach of taking the spotlight off of fusion. I saw a sign today that took the extremely direct approach. It was on an old house in an old part of town and simply said “Land Contract Available.” Anytime we as ambassadors attempt to start a conversation about fusion, we’re skipping an entire set of backstories to begin out in the middle of nowhere in the minds of most people.

I just started an ongoing question/polling series on the FB page (I’m creatively lazy) that may yield an insight or few into what could resonate on Main street that a successful fusion program could solve…….

    …..If it only existed!

This is based on the pastime called “These Days”. Useage: It’s so hard to ______ these days The blank can be several words, usually a verb followed by a buzznoun or shared belief.

I’d hazard a guess that the average person has no idea how plentiful, cheap, clean energy is going to help improve his or her world. It requires too much imagination without a benefit such as paying 1/20th of their current electric bill. And in the winter, something like 1/20 of their heating bill. Those make effective carrots worthy of some extra thought.

Of course, the rate of change has been just beyond the outer limits of what the previous generation can tolerate or grasp for a century or two …

No, I hadn’t heard of the concept by that name. Building an organization requires focus which is often indistinguishable from obstinacy. Henry Ford was a classic example. Human nature is the constant amidst any changes that will come down the pike, and that can be planned for in many ways which lead to market awareness and then to market acceptance.

I propose that “Build it and they will come (and buy)” be revised to “Build it, lead them to it, and they will come and buy”. How fast that can be accomplished in our case is purely speculative at this point.

Nah. The new generations aren’t as slow to adapt as us Old Croakers! They intuit the purpose and uses of iPads with a glance, and consider exponential electronics improvement to be the norm — why not a mega-quantum leap in electric sourcing? 😆 :cheese:

Nah- enough of the Old Guard has to lose it’s power to influence attitudes and decisions. Just like in Moses’ day.

If you question how you know that nuke power is making a comeback, (other than through the fusion forums), I’m sure you’ll always be able to trace it back to a sales organization.

All of the Power With No Radioactive Waste* could be a good teaser headline, since we’ve all learned to read the asterisk’s fine print before the main ad copy.

    *Seriously! visit focusfusion.org for details.

For clarification, are we designing a poster or a wall chart?

We can budget enough words for a 20 to 30 page booklet of 10 point text on a wall chart. I saw one for D-T fusion on a black background with the main entry text over an image of the Earth in the center, surrounded by around a dozen sub-stories, maybe more. Full disclosure was not the objective. We could work backwards from, say, a 250 page book concept/outline to map what information goes on which of 8 posters in the series.

Each of these could become a salable product and a lot of the source material could come from FFS threads. I’ve seen a guy do this on the Warrior (marketing) Forum a few years ago, turning only 1 thread into a WSO (Warrior Special Offer- their new product advance discount corner area). I know it works because I bought a copy.

Google this: contact any celebrity . Maybe I should become an affiliate. I’ll third the vote for Morgan Freeman, especially after seeing Bruce Almighty again last night.
