I just visited it – great idea!
I will try to promote it on our site and Facebook.

    >I assumed you’d decided that was the choice we had to go with.
I wish I would get more input before any decisions. GotoWebinar was not a perfect choice, but I did not see any alternatives.

Thnx for trying to let people know over forums btw. I am not sure which notification method is better, but I guess I missed a lot of them such as facebook and twitter

GotoMeeting and GotoWebinar are different software. Of course I should have assumed they have the same compatibility issues, even if I did not know that for sure.
Although the GotoMeeting seems to have a workaround for Linux
http://onlinemeeting.lefora.com/2009/12/08/guide-to-using-gotomeeting-on-linux/ maybe that would work for GotoWebinar as well.

Yes there are many issues with finding a proper way to communicate in the board as well as in the whole society. Those communication methods can have different requirements.
I went with GotoWebinar as I was not familiar with all the issues (and no one raised any), there were not known alternatives and GotoWebinar was tested in previous members meeting.

Btw I send an email reminder a week before the members meeting. I am not sure how many reminders I should have sent and when to have maximum participation and without my email address getting banned or reported for spam (is it not yet?).

I am sorry that Linux incompatibility has not come to my attention earlier, before making a decision on the means of communications.
This can probably be overcome with the use of virtualisation, or some hacks similar to http://onlinemeeting.lefora.com/2009/12/08/guide-to-using-gotomeeting-on-linux/. I expect we will have some time to choose a better software or service for the next members meeting, but there are also a lot other challenges to resolve such as low participation in the membership meeting.

If you think its something innocent and in regards to credibility on par with focus fusion, then take a good read at
http://peswiki.com/index.php/Directory:Keshe_Foundation#Announcing_Space_and_Moon_Flights <-Whole page, but especially this section
Even without any physics education you can clearly see either a complete fraud or a raving madman.

It seems they are exploiting some sort of URL redirection in expression engine just to pretend it is part of focus fusion website
Keshe seems to be a fraud that is trying to make all kinds of unsupported claims related to fusion energy and even antigravity.
I am not sure how is he planning to raisesteal money when all areas of fusion research are severely underfunded, but I guess in the realm of the absurd possibilities are endless.

If fusion (or other cheap/clean energy approach) does not succeed we can only a marginal space program.
You cannot rationally be building huge space ships if most of your planets population is living below the level of poverty.

Please try to stay on topic of ICF.
Certainly criticism is needed on every approach, but there is no need to use red herrings as a means to end a discussion or prove your point.
Instead please focus on dealing with the criticism so that it can produce valuable points of interest for the future.

If you arrange the instructions, I will find where to put it.
Also (next stage?) idea would be to setup a web based chat channel (could be connecting to irc).

This is the information I am sending to BOD candidates, I hope I did not miss anyone, but if I did please let me know.

If you are interested then I would ask of you:
1)Agreement to participate in the meeting
2)Available days for 18/06/2012-24/06/2012 you can also provide rough times, but we will also have a way of choosing the times before the meeting. If you cant provide either we will just hope to catch you as available on the time selected for others.
3)Skype number (if possible) and phone number as backup. Meeting is expected to happen on skype, but we might call in instead or provide a number to call before the meeting by email.
4)Persistence to make positive change happen.

    The scheduling approach will be:
1)At the beginning of next week I will send out a poll to select time on (according to the dates provided) http://doodle.com/
2)Once people will select their options I will choose a time in which most people can be available
3)Then we will send out a an email with meeting information such as how it will be organized, but probably it is going to be a call-in number as well as skype conference as a backup (an in case some people wont be online we will also be able to add call out numbers).

zeroed in on tiny, bubble-like islands that appear in hot, charged gases — or plasmas

It is very unlikely they are talking about plasmoids. It is still yet to be defined under what conditions plasmoids do form, but the conditions are much different and the results as well – a slow expanding region, unlike the plasmoid collapse like effect.

IMHO it is a good idea to leave the plasma for plasma physicists to analyse, or we will thread in to the twilight area of pseudo-science. On the other hand I like to speculate myself.

On unrelated notice: I wonder whether plasmoids can be modelled like a bursting bubble. Yes, they have plasma contents, but maybe the electro-magnetic field collapse can ignore its pressure when modelling, because its more powerful.

Sharing data is great as long as it is reliable. While FFS does not have influence on LPP policies, I think LPP itself would appreciate any collaboration or budget increases.
