I have no problem with current layout. When I first came here it was very easy to learn about FF.
One rule from my network administrator experience:If it is not broken, don’t touch it.

Dead Croaker for Old Croaker that has not posted recently.

In any case sensor output for diagnostics would be a good idea, I just wonder how difficult it can be to measure such high voltage/amperage.
Voltage might less of a problem than amperage.
Maybe measuring the temperature of a wire could say something?

The lot requirement price to high for me (100$), and I don’t think Intrade gives margin? Even they it is not liquid enough to trade with margin.

Basically this depends on which energy storage solution is best for portability. When energy becomes really cheap it is even possible that making petrol fuels from co2 that is captured from air will be economically feasible. Some fuels/batteries are better per weight some are better per volume. Some are better per price, which I hope FF will reduce a lot.

    http://paranoidlinux.org/

Paranoid Linux is an operating system that assumes that its operator is under assault from the government (it was intended for use by Chinese and Syrian dissidents), and it does everything it can to keep your communications and documents a secret. It even throws up a bunch of “chaff” communications that are supposed to disguise the fact that you’re doing anything covert. So while you’re receiving a political message one character at a time, ParanoidLinux is pretending to surf the Web and fill in questionnaires and flirt in chat-rooms. Meanwhile, one in every five hundred characters you receive is your real message, a needle buried in a huge haystack.
    ~Cory Doctorow (Little Brother, 2008)

When those words were written, ParanoidLinux was just a fiction. It is our goal to make this a reality. The project officially started on May 14th, and has been growing ever since. We welcome your ideas, contributions, designs, or code. You can find us on freenode’s irc server in the #paranoidlinux channel. Hope to see you there!

Unfortunately government finally got to them… 🙁

There does not seem to be a reason to do that, because FF power is on-demand.

Tnx for the update. Some random ideas:
Is it not possible to test the switches on low power and record the data somehow? Even nicer it would be to be able to record data with high power for run time diagnostics. Maybe few mega ohm resistors would be able to shield the voltage/current from (ultra-fast) sensors?
Also I wonder why you need separate switches? Is it just the power requirement or you need to control the firing? It might be simpler to have one switch and adjust the firing sequence using wire length, of course you need diagnostics and I am not sure if you can get any switch in that power range…
Do we have any real electrical engineers here?

On a side note Newbie is not insulting, N00b is.

So back to the topic: was the trigger problem solved?

Because I was not proof-reading my post, I was probably not very serious, and I don’t believe it validated an exhaustive rebuttal.
Still I believe it is possible that gas prices can drop from the local maximum of 4.10 to 0.04 $ in the US, if energy prices dropped 100x. Probably the Oil & Coal industry would be the first to install FF reactors, in order to survive for some time, and the demand for gasoline wont drop until EV cars and infrastructure are much more common.

Great, we can use FF to synthesize gas from oil, to extract oil from shale sands, to strip mine coal much deeper, extract more oil from depleted wells and build undersea cities for oil mining….
    that’s … just … fantastic!
Who needs electric cars when gas is 0.04c per galon?
And I was hoping for an alternative energy revolution…
    Edit:Gas per galon

Unfortunately only a few Google video links still have the download link, like this one:

I am not a physicist as well, but I would guess that the pinch itself does not have inertia, so the angular momentum mus be constantly created with an angular magnetic field. I am not sure, but I think the twisted electrodes were mentioned in Google tech talk.
