Just look at the names involved! It’s our Murali Subramanian, and Polywell’s Rick Nebel. And I think J. Park is also with Polywell.

I think the reason of the sound falling off, is that you covered the microphone with your hand. The muffled sound coincides with the camera being more stable. You’ve put your hand upon something for support, blocking the microphone.

Well, my primary thought was adding that GW/AGW stuff too, because it got pretty hostile. And also including any proofs about existence of gods and any unjustified free energy claims.

I would be okay for things like the hydrino theory to stay here, though. It is new physics, but we are only discussing it here. There is no endorsement. For a cleaner search engine signal it might be removed though.

I think they are just glass props with computer generated graphics in post production. Like the whole churchy location they’re in. I think the whole movie has been shot on a greenscreen.

What about moving GW/AGW, musings about gods, and similar threads to a new category called “Noise”? And explain everyone coming by with a sticky note “We discussed that before but it doesn’t support our cause, and the admins (including quite some users) decided to move it out of the way”. We could open a thread “Proposals for Moving to Noise Folder” where everyone can suggest threads in a constructive way to be moved.

Rezwan wrote: I’m not sure it’s the most constructive thing to do. It would certainly clear up the “Brian Noise” on this site and help us produce a clearer, more constructive Focus Fusion signal.

I’m also quite pissed off by that “Brian Noise”. I would love to just press “ignore member”, but sadly/luckily Brian posts also useful stuff. Couldn’t you just split your personality to “Brian GW Skeptic” and “Brian Constructive”? Or post your “Brian GW Skeptic” stuff, including ranting on Greens, on any random Tea Party forum? There you’ll be received with open arms – and raised guns.

Brian, one more thing: Focus Fusion isn’t proved, so don’t act as if you can waste all energy, because in a few years we’ll have free energy anyway. The only proven way of having free energy is the green stuff you’re ranting about [don’t start a discussion here!]. Focus Fusion or any other fusion is still a fantasy and it pretty well might stay this forever. It’s like you’re dancing on a high wire without any net as safety. If you drop, you’re dead.

Zhat’s zhe worst part of it! Oh horror!

That indoctrination we’re already getting by switching from Diplom(Made in Germany) to Bachelor and Master…

    You have a point there.

That is on the front page on the lower left corner:

We seek to turn the dream of safe, cheap, clean, unlimited energy from aneutronic nuclear fusion into a practical reality, to do it now, and to ensure that this technology is made available to all mankind.

Maybe it should be moved between the Logo+Name and the Donate button, so everyone sees it.

Oh, and anything with high Z gets heated by x-rays anyway. So superconduction with heavy metals (Yb, or whatever) is a bad idea.

We will not be able to use even high-Tc superconductors (highest claim to date around 250K), because that’s still pretty chilly in an environment where you want to pump out heat generated. There is a discussion on Talk-Polywell with Johan Prins who claims to have obtained a much much higher Tc with his own diamond based process and theory. But still that might be doubtable.

So there is something called ultraconductors based on polymers which should have several magnitudes more conductivity than copper. Yes, polymers are insulator, but they claim with films that’s different.

Maybe overall it’s similar to graphene.

There’s even a patent for a decaborane vaporizer:

    I just read on Wikipedia:

The physical characteristics of decaborane(14) resemble those of the organic compounds, such as naphthalene and anthracene, in that it can be sublimed under vacuum at moderate temperatures. Sublimation is the common method of purification.

So as we are working in a vacuum, possibly heating isn’t required at all.

No, it’s the same thing Rezwan posted here: https://focusfusion.org/index.php/forums/viewthread/581/

The translation of Rezwan’s link is here:

Sdyqzadh added: “Since the formation of the Atomic Energy Organization, started research in fusion and fusion in the lab is equipped with a 5 thousand square meters of space is allocated to large research agencies and Damavand COLD Tvkamk the first built by Iranian experts and the latter has been purchased from Russia, with high similarity scores to the international design system “Eater” is. Other research agencies such as plasma device Focal Fylypvf the Institute there for nuclear fusion studies are used.

So they bought a tokamak from Russia and build DPFs themselves. More details are in Rezwan’s post.
