Brian, all of the tech goodies you asked about and more are all filed under the LPPX tab in the black nav bar across the FFS home page. That links to this sub-index page: https://focusfusion.org/index.php/site/category/C30/

And my hat, too.
Eric or Aaron mentioned somewhere that B11 could be very expensive if purchased from scientific supply channels or by the gram, something to that effect, iirc. Still, the patent does mention the ability to use nearly any borane as a fuel, with pentaborane as the preferred alternate fuel. My searches seemed to say that the pentaborane stocks were destroyed and its no longer in production, which would make diborane sweeter still.
Welcome to the FFS forums, Nelson. I see you’ve done your homework and have been working on organizing. The NING community are great friends to have, too. Not sure I understand the hypercube or rigid structure, looks like it could take a few hours for me to work that out.
I’ll have to check it again tomorrow. Couldn’t find a play button. How much does the premium version go for? If it gives FFS control of the advertising, it could be well worth a small in-kind investment.
I like the fusion fund and bond ideas- much like savings bonds, iiuc.
I’d like to propose a strategy of investing in risk/reward based scenarios, where aneutronic outranks D-T on just about any data point. Drilling down within the aneutronic community, FF is again the logical first to fund choice since its the cheapest, most transparent, most accountable, and the only known full scale proof of concept model operating. In short, I recommend leveraging our transparency and results to the hilt. When scaled through university research programs, the savings of cloning FF-1 could easily become billions per year. The academic recruiting and training payoffs of LPP’s success would also scale accordingly.
The rest of the aneutronic community can be pitched as magnet and cryogenic research with direct payoffs in MRIs and large-scale powerplants which don’t use or make radioactive fuels and materials. I know the polywell forum has a verry lonnng thread keeping track of Freedom of Information Act requests and useful information. A transparency-based presentation format could do much to overcome this secrecy.
Great ideas! A library of 2-3 minute YT vids would really bring the program to life and introduce the people who make it happen.
Its expected to cost around 43kJ, last time I checked. Since that translates to 43 BTU, the size and cost of the machinery may be shocking, lol.
Thanx, PM. Looks like next year’s round for me and most of those. Time to get a passport, apparently!
You’ve done it again, Brian! Kleptocracy is right up there with Dopenhagen. 😆
Seriously, though, if IIUC, cash is disbursed in large blocks to simplify bookkeeping and control. It’s easier and cheaper to control a few institutions than millions of experiments. It also avoids the appearance of the Fed building an enormous bureaucracy whose mission would be to compete with the establishment.
I’m reading a hardcover book right now called Multipliers, which I highly recommend to anybody who wants to build a 21st century organization of any size. The gist is that if you reinvest in creating positions which harness every person’s native genius(es)- what they do without thinking is any big deal while others struggle at that task- you’ll get a true 110%. It seems that an environment can be created where people grow their IQ as they solve progressively more challenging problems.
Thus the best ROI turns out to be growing a company to create positions where displaced workers can shine again. This has to be done despite having Obama in the Whitehouse, imo.
Here’s the link- http://www.lhup.edu/~dsimanek/museum/unwork.htm
I should have done this before my last post, since I phrased the search as why doesn’t perpetual motion work

I dont have much problem with others, but just to put some arguments forward:
ZPE – you need a place to put all the quacks or they will start making up conspiracies.
Also as far as I know a lot of topics we nowadays consider science were pseudo-science once. Some people consider FF to be it.
I for myself am interested in seeing evidence, whenever it comes from.
I’ll see if I can get the link to a site that rigorously demonstrates how various “over-unity” devices succumb to one or more laws of thermodynamics, which I’d like to preface that section with. This would also explain that we expect to consume a fuel by fusing 2 atoms rather than burning molecules.
Now, the real trick is distinguishing “evidence” from evidence.
Alas, I don’t see the switches co-operating with the wayback plan. I favor late 20th century electrical parts so that everybody can understand the electrical system without much effort, especially aging electrical engineers.
kieran, I don’t get the part about the rich getting that way by hoarding. My understanding is that they get that way by reinvesting otherwise idle capital to (hopefully) make more to invest. A lack of leadership could make it look like hoarding, which would also be dumb because it makes the hoarded money even more taxable.
The scenario you described above sure looks like it’s straight out of Obama’s playbook, imo, designed to socialize America.

On a more positive note, can anybody link me to a place that sells or makes those cool touchscreen monitors? I’ve wanted one of those ever since I saw Iron Man!
I think they are just glass props with computer generated graphics in post production. Like the whole churchy location they’re in. I think the whole movie has been shot on a greenscreen.
Thanx, Hemming. I was kind of thinking that might be the case. Maybe we should “shoot” our vids in Iron Man’s basement prototyping shop?

Why cant the every politician, scientist and business man see that all the solutions lie in solving the energy problem?
They have incredible amounts of inertia to overcome in their business plans and stockholders’ profitability expectations. Unless FF sales forces offer nearly 100% financing, 1 million sales will suck a trillion dollars out of Wall Street’s control in the short-term, and then almost that much annually. This is sure to invite political shenanigans to protect the status quo, and then things can get brutal in a hurry.
Imagine Wall Street going back for another round of “too big to fail” money. >:(
