The Focus Fusion Society › Forums › Lawrenceville Plasma Physics Experiment (LPPX) › How Much total investment has LXXP received?
Hello All,
I joined this forum last year.. but this is my first post here. I run The Polywell Blog.
I do not come on this forum often – but I do have a great deal of respect for this community.
I am working on a write up on all the fusion efforts. Part of doing this is compiling a list of total investments in all the alternative fusion concepts. I.e:
1. Tri Alpha Energy
2. Helion
3. Convergent Scientific Inc
4. General Fusion
5. Phoenix Nuclear Labs
6. Radiant Matter Research
7. LPPX
8. Tokamak Energy Inc.
9. The Iranian Polywell Effort
10. The University of Sydney
11. Cross Fire Fusion
12. EMCC
I am not doing black light power. I am trying to come up with a $ number for each one of these. My argument is that we have funneled ~1,000X more into NIF or ITER — so it’s fair to say that humans have not “tried these ideas out” yet.
Hey Guys,

We never got any money from Chile. They were to put that into their end of a joint project but never did.
Total private investment $4million from 70 individuals and Abell. Earlier $300,000 from NASA’s JPL.
The end date on the 70 people investing in LLP is not correct. Some investors are as recent as 2014.
Thanks,
Here is where I am currently at with this list:

Highlighted in red are numbers I need to double check. Also – Folks on Talk Polywell Tell me one of the EMCC numbers is incorrect.
So at this point it’s only a first pass.
Total Investment is: 450 Million +/- 25 Million in non-tokomak/ICF technology
Maybe describe the Focus Fusion technology as “dense plasma focus” in your tables, as you have put together all those polywellish devices. That’s from which it’s derived.
Good call. I will make the fix. When this post is done, I hope to share it.
