I have been instructed by the Board of Directors to form the Expenses Subcommittee.
Our aim is to identify and assess costed strategies to further the goals of the society.
The society does not have a huge amount of money so we have to direct some attention to spending effectively.
The aim is not to approve short-term expenses; that is the job of the Treasurer, ie Ben Ferris. Rather, we need to have a tactical view going forward of how best to spend money, on the timescale of a year or so. We will not know initially how much money will actually be available.
For example, ‘raising awareness’ is a goal to be pursued, that might be expected to incur some expenses. Feel free to discuss other goals however. The intention is to make some realistic plans of how we can achieve particular goals.
