Makes me think of an 8 cylinder car engine.
There must be some orthographic drawings of various DPF’s somewhere.
Also, I thought you were switching to beryllium electrodes, whose color I am not sure of.
Charles – tigger is classy!
And finally, one of my biggest questions is that our current 2-D drawing of the DPF looks nothing like the picture of the microfocus used in Chile, which is more like a star. I see cylinders, but I didn’t realize there were several of them.
I’m hearing a lot of talk here about iconography, yet I see that you guys don’t have an icon to represent yourselves. An avatar like my little flying cage bird. I need a visual association! You can do this if you go to Your Control Panel >> Personal Settings >> Edit Avatar
Yikes. I just checked out the default set that comes w/ this forum. It includes this one below.
Global warming and Al Gore were a big news item on TV tonight (news & 20/20) (because of that bill just signed by our governor? I didn’t pay too much attention). But the soundbites motivated me to search the web and found this website: http://www.ontheissues.org/ – they seem very detailed and thorough in their breakdown of politicians and where they stand on each of a bazillion different issues. So I sent them an email asking them to find out where politicians stand on fusion and informing them of our endeavors. Before you start lobbying people, you should know how they feel about the topic.
As of now, the site doesn’t include fusion as an issue. Under energy issues they have:
Alternative Energy: The federal government regularly funds research into solar power, wind power, wave power, biomass power, and other alternative energy sources, but none are competitively priced with gas and oil at the present time. Liberals contend that gas and oil prices are kept artificially low by federal intervention (including military action in the Mideast), which results in policy prescriptions like President Clintons proposed BTU Tax in the early 1990s, intended to foster alternative energy development.
Y’all may want to follow up and send emails to that site and others like that. Oh, and I sent the link to our “I’m just a bill on capitol hill” example of the lack of awareness of aneutronic fusion in alternative energies strategies.
Yes, 50 does seem like a conveniently rounded number that coincides with the “end of oil”. But ITER does have a more specific timeline. Links to that from this article on our site: https://focusfusion.org/index.php/site/article/fusion_now/#bar
Actually, here is a direct link to the timeline image on the ITER site: http://www.iter.org/gifs2/long-terms.jpg
We need to make a nice color coded chart like that for Focus Fusion 🙂
Hi! Thanks for the suggestion. What corner of earth are we talking about? And do you have any specific suggestions about an online payment system that works from that corner? I’m not familiar with many. I know that on my other website I have an Amazon honor system thing set up (Here’s some info on Amazon Honor System).
But somehow I think Amazon and paypal are almost the same when it comes to convenience for other countries.
Suggestions?
