Maybe it has been mentioned here before, but it’s better to mention such an interesting device on time to much then forget it. A very promising device for making a z-pinch, still in an early stage I think Z-Pinch Renaissance
I think this device have many samilarities with the dense plasma focus here. It’s a center rod in a cylinder, ok dense plasma focus have several rods outside instead of a cylinder and it’s vertical, not horisontal. This device is forming a dense string and dense plasma focus is forming a plasmoid. It’s though a concept of it own. Best of all it’s stable so far. With more founding this cold be a competitor to dense plasma focus I think. I don’t have too fear that I can just enjoy the fact that other are doing some good attempts to solve the energy supply.
