In order to develop aneutronic fusion in a timely manner, has Eric Lerner and the FF community considered enlisting the help of a strategic partner with deep pockets? An energy intensive industry like Intuit, Google, Boeing or a forward looking utility might be persuaded to collaborate with Lerner and the FF team in return for being on the ground floor of a new, sustainable technology. What do you all think of this idea?

i agree that a strategic partner with deep pockets would be a great person to have, but finding those individuals is not always easy . . .

Eric already presented Focus Fusion at Google Tech Talks: https://focusfusion.org/index.php/site/article/eric_lerner_presents_focus_fusion_at_google_tech_talks/

And they also applied to Project 10^100 : http://www.project10tothe100.com/

If you know someone with good access to those people with deep pockets, go ahead and ask them.

But first continue informing yourself by reading up more on this technology — you’ll get tough questions.

The answer is “Yes”! They’re working on it. Industries and utilities have been and are being approached. As Henning notes, it helps if you have a warm connection. Persuasion is an art.

Great idea! Executing it is the hard part.
