    Myself not being a good example, I think it’s important to eliminate any political leaning in serious pledges and lobbying.
    Knee-jerk labeling is unfortunately a fact of life, however unfair and irrelevant especially in the finance community. Dont mention the war as they say in Germany. Leave out claims about global poverty. Read your Guardian another day.
    Use an alias in heated blogging.
    But global warming and the oil situation could be helpful vehicles. Avoid peak oil though, even if it’s becoming established science.

    Its may be a disadvantage to be associated to some political fraction.
    But are you too much afraid for that, you can not use any argument at all.
    You say the global warming argument is ok but from some right wingers this is a suspect argument.

    You can’t please all the people all the time, so why not focus on reducing fossil fuel consumption, which automatically equates to reduced CO2? Cheap electricity is just icing on the cake, and we don’t have to lead with that potential benefit.
