Testing 0… 1… 10…
…. here is a 42 unit Focus Fusion array towards the left front with 210 MW electric output and ~298 MW thermal for a total output a few MW in excess of ITER’s proposed 500 MW. Add in a 200 unit FF array towards the right front equal to a typical large urban power facility – 1 GW electric and 1.42 GW thermal – and just for fun toss in a 500 MW Tri-Alpha CBFR array towards the rear on the right and a 500 MW EMC2 polywell array over on the left…
… and all this is sitting on the ground floor inside the main ITER building complex.
The 5 MWe FF distributed grid substation sitting on top of the ITER cryo unit complete w/ weather housing, grass yard, fence, utility poles, driveway and electric pickup truck is just the cherry on top so to speak 🙂
Yes, it’s all to scale… note the humans standing around.
