Mark Halper, a journalist with SmartPlanet, recently did a presentation on emerging nuclear energy options. Focused mostly on fission, with a lot on fast reactors, then moved to fusion. Asked “if fusion is 30 years away, why are venture capitalists investing?” Argued that entrepreneurs will get there before the big government projects.

He mentioned Fusion for Peace, but seemed to think the sanctions would put a stop to it…maybe someone should fill him in on some details there.
Something I didn’t know is that Tri-Alpha is up to $140 million invested, some from Goldman Sachs.
