    Hi All,
I am looking to run a crowdfunding campaign to fund better hardware for fusion simulations. We could probably do it using Indiegogo platform or Google One-Today:

The desired budget would be about 10 thousand GBP or so with some stretch goals with getting more help on-board.

Is this something you would be interested in helping out with?

I am interested in the fusion simulations. Can your software be set up to use distributed computing like Boinc? I have donated computer time to several projects for a few years.
The advantage is that you don’t have to invest in hardware that becomes obsolete quickly. You also interest a lot of people in your project because members and teams are competitive.

Hi Francis, not at the moment as inter-cell computations are still important, however once it gets into a good state and goes open-source people might find ways to re-purpose it for distributed computing.

Would it be practical to use a high performance cloud computing platform like https://aws.amazon.com/hpc/?

Thanks Francis, good to know for general background, but due to intense focii points PIC simulations probably won’t be suitable as they use a fixed mesh
