can plasma absorb radiation and what kind of radiation then

Reactions produce a lot of radiation of different forms x-rays, gamma, light for exemple. Does plasma absorb anything of this? I wonder becouse it could be useful that you can take care of some of the energy. I have an idea to preheat the fuel before it react with energy direct from the reaction, not so much from external electricity from outside.
