    think I have an idea of why fast pinches are more powerful. The pinch compresses the gas, right? So, it is like a drag, but if the pulse is too, the drag will have low density and let gas escape. The pulse moves at about 50Km/s so it is an enorumous pressure. A dense pulse is more resilient to let gas escape.

    Is this reasonable?
