    Why I thought this? I remembered the cross sections for DD. At 200KeV it is 1/5 of the DT at this temperature. The simulations that correspond to FoFu yields in the version Lerner uses are for DT in other versions.
    So, it seems that the results of FoFu can be explained by pure thermal reasons and not magnetic confining. So, increasing the specs won’t help much to increase the yields.

    Can you be a little more specific? Are you referring to the quantum magnetic field effect? If so, that is only projected to kick in when we switch to heavier ions.

    optimal zone for p+B11 fusion is ~600 keV. i believe these temperatures would be unachievable without the quantum magnetic field effect.
