Blacklight Power’s alleged hydrino power concept appeared to be not much more than a glorified heater. Now there are claims for direct conversion to electricity of plasma generated by high-speed repetitive pulsed reactions:

I can’t help thinking Dr Mills is using attractive concepts borrowed from Focus Fusion: high currents, pulsed reactions, direct conversion to electricity, and plasma pinches. Maybe he feels pressure from investors to out do LPP, which is also NJ-based.

I don’t think Focus fusion has so much to fear from this concept and company. It’s based on a particle the call hydrinos, which is supposed to be a hydrogen atom with smaller radius and lower state of energy. The particle violate the laws of quantum mechanics and should be unusual in the way that almost all substances sooner or later end up as with the lowest possible state of energy possible. It will always be hard for a particle or any other substance to maintain in a higher state of energy. But say it does, then hydrinos will absorb energy from the surrounding to form back to hydrogen. So it would be the surroundings that provide energy really. But it’s not so likely.

It’s sad it’s so much scam in this field, but hunger for money and glory that eventually come with an unlimited power source can drive people to a lot of things.
So I’m sorry there will probably not be any free lunch today either:)
