Theoretical Seminars Begin

To ensure that all three physicists on the experimental team are sharing the same theoretical background, Mr. Lerner has started a series of theoretical seminar with Dr. Subramanian, and remotely, with Dr. Lu, who is still in China.

The video lectures have so far covered three topics: The plasma focus process, the history of plasma focus research, and force-free fields. Force-free fields, very important in the plasma focus device as well as in astrophysics, are fields in which the currents run along the magnetic field lines.  Discussions emerging from the seminars have already been very productive.
