Discover magazine Runs Article on Focus Fusion

The June issue of Discover magazine has a very favorable, if brief, article on focus fusion in their Ideas section. This is certainly the broadest coverage we have had in the mass media and will helpfully open up new opportunities.

Not on the stands yet; I’m assuming it’s the June-dated issue we want. I couldn’t see anything in the May issue with a quick scan. But there isn’t an “Ideas” section in that issue at all!

The discovermagazine June issue web page has no mention of it, or an Ideas section. Waiting ....

Ok, the June issue is out, and the Ideas section is on p. 64. Straightforward and positive 3-paragraphs, with only one misstatement (saying part of the ion beam energy drained off for use; no mention of the X-ray component).
