Peace Symbol with Arms Raised

Oct 29, 2010

Some of you have noticed that the “aneutronic fusion peace symbol” we use on our site is sometimes rotated.  When this happens, don’t be alarmed!  It’s not “upside down”, it’s “arms upward.”  It is well in keeping with the glorious tradition of the symbol.

Science and Social Validation

May 01, 2010

The following is an excerpt from Nassim Nicholas Taleb’s “The Black Swan”.  It captures the pain of pursuing science in a world of limited metrics for “success”.  Read this and see if it doesn’t increase your compassion for those courageous enough to venture into the unknown.

It is included in the “social challenges” category of this website because fusion, “oversold” yet underfunded, is the poster child for getting this kind of flak.

Is Focus Fusion RIGHT?

Jul 27, 2006

We keep getting asked if Focus Fusion is right.  While we would like to assure you that it is, we can’t know, until the experiments are done, if the Focus Fusion device will work as theorized.  The only way to prove it either way is with proof-of-concept experiments.

Is This a Scam?

Jul 21, 2006

Is Focus Fusion a scam?  By definition, a scam is “a fraudulent business scheme.  A swindle.”  In order for us (FFS & LPP) to be scammers, we would have to know that Focus Fusion doesn’t work, and be diverting all the funds we’re getting into, for example, an untraceable account in the Bahamas.

Wilbur Wright

Jun 08, 2006

In 1908, Wilbur Wright is quoted as saying:

I confess that in 1901 I said to my brother Orville that man would not fly for fifty years…Ever since, I have distrusted myself and avoided all predictions.
