The Focus Fusion Society is a membership organization.  Dues-paying members are the backbone of the organization.  Your dues help to support us as we develop and implement the strategic plan, the website, educational materials and more!

The Focus Fusion Society is seeking a few good Board Members (at least 7) to sit on our Board of Directors.  This is an unpaid position.  The job description is below.  As for application procedure, anyone interested in taking on the awesome responsibility of a board member should send me a note of interest (Rezwan at focusfusion dot org).  I’ll call a meeting of those interested - via webinar, and we’ll discuss it as a group and see how to proceed.  There will likely be a membership vote for the final selection since this is a group decision.

Some of you have noticed that the “aneutronic fusion peace symbol” we use on our site is sometimes rotated.  When this happens, don’t be alarmed!  It’s not “upside down”, it’s “arms upward.”  It is well in keeping with the glorious tradition of the symbol.

The Focus Fusion Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit membership organization located in New Jersey.  We seek to turn the dream of safe, affordable, clean, abundant energy from aneutronic nuclear fusion into a practical reality as soon as possible, and to ensure that this technology is made available to everyone.

We are a unique organization.  Our vitality comes from our members.  If you have joined our ranks, you are one of the pioneering people in the world who is intrigued by the possibilities of aneutronic fusion, and undaunted by the challenges.

The global warming debate that has dominated our forum posts is distracting from the Focus Fusion Mission.  It will hereby be capped by Monday, June 7, 2010.

Eric Lerner, the former Executive Director of the Focus Fusion Society, has stepped down from that role as of September 22, 2009, and is now one of our Science Advisors.  Eric is the President of Lawrenceville Plasma Physics (LPP).

The terms of use of this website were drafted in 2005.  Since then we have decided to become more open source.  We need volunteers to help draft a better terms of use!  Until then, these stronger terms remain in effect.
