[Update from LPP] Thanks to the work of Jeff Shoen, Henning Burdack and John Guillory, we have gone from zero to two working versions of our one-dimensional filament formation simulation.

At the moment, the simulations still blow up early, but we are confident we can solve this problem.  We hope to be getting actual results quite soon and do further testing to decide which implementation is best for specific purposes.
