For those of you who missed it on twitter or the LPP website, here is the LPP November update (pdf file).

LPP Report Summary

Experiments this month gave further confirmation of our basic theoretical model of the DPF. ICCD images showed the pinched filament kinking into a plasmoid and gave us clearer estimates of the plasmoid radius and density. X-ray emission energy continues to increase, giving us more confidence for our spin-off X-ray generator applications. Our replacement trigger heads were completed and tested, making us ready to return to 12-capacitor firing. Aaron Blake and Derek Shannon are joining the LPP team full time.  Full Report, pdf »

FFS Procedure Questions

As you know, the Focus Fusion Society has a window onto the LPP experiment.  When it comes to newsletters, LPP sends them out to their investors and us, and we send them out to dues paying members of the Focus Fusion Society.  After that, they’re posted to the LPP website and tweeted about (all this was completed by Nov. 11).  Usually, the Focus Fusion Society website then takes the items from the newsletter and posts them as individual topic posts, to facilitate focused conversations and feedback.

I’ve stalled on posting them to FFS this time due to being in Chicago for APS, then coming down with an interminable cold, then working on the grant proposal, and now preparing to go to DC for the Fusion Power Associates event.

But mostly, I’m feeling a simple re-post is somewhat redundant and am trying to figure out how to add value to the repost.  If you have any suggestions, let me know.  I’ll be back from DC on Friday.

Have a great week, and enjoy the newsletter if you haven’t seen it before!
