Forum registration process clarification - ACCOUNT ACTIVATION

Dear Focus Fusion Society Website Users,

There is some confusion about how to start using the forums. Specifically our spam-prevention-feature requires that every new member, after registration, is manually approved by the administrator.

This is a way to prevent forum spam as we get hundreds of new user registrations every day. You would think that we should welcome these new “members” with open arms; unfortunately, it does not work so well, as even after those registrants have solved our captcha and validated their emails, they still start posting spam as soon as we give write access. So we are currently quite confident most of new accounts registered are spam-bots, which we will try to validate in near future.

Although there are many kinds of automatic spam-prevention techniques, spammers are technologically advanced and able to circumvent them. Therefore for now we are using a manual system, where every new user is required to send administrator an email using our web form. Just tell us what is your email address to which your account is registered and why you care about Focus Fusion and we will unlock the gates for you.
