The Focus Fusion Society regrets the October 6th passing of pioneer fusion researcher Dr. Robert Bussard.

We salute his many contributions to the field of plasma physics and to the possibility of interstellar travel through his Bussard ramjet.  Dr. Bussard’s November 2006 Google TechTalk on inertial electrostatic confinement fusion has been viewed by over 100,000 people, helping to lend credibility to all efforts to use hydrogen-boron as a fusion fuel.  It is heartening to know that Dr. Bussard’s fusion research will continue on through his EMC2 company, adding to the diversity of approaches that strive to achieve a clean energy future for all humankind.

Ok, Interesting that it didn’t have more coverage in the general media.

Sad. Moses and the wilderness comes to mind.
